As CEO, Jaime De La Garza built Corporate Properties into a country-leading Industrial Real Estate Developer with approximately US$2.0 billion in institutional capital under management and invested in over 30 million square feet of industrial properties in Mexico, across 13 years. In 2015, Mr. De La Garza was named Real Estate Developer of the Year as well as CEO of the Year by Real Estate Mexico; at the same time, Corporate Properties was named Best Industrial Park and Best industrial Turnkey Solution Provider.
A 40+ year Austinite, Mr. Gritz graduated from the University of Texas at Austin’s Honors Business Program, with Honors, before starting his career on Wall Street as an Investment Banker in the global Private Equity Group at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1987.
Since 2017 (for the past eight years), Jaime has been a Board Member of FIBRA Macquarie, a Mexican public REIT based in Mexico City with approximately 35 million square feet of commercial
real estate under its ownership and management.

Mr. De La Garza was previously an Investment Officer at the International Finance Corporation (the “IFC”) in Washington D.C. or 4 yrs in the 1990’s, where he was responsible for corporate and project finance transactions in Latin America, including identification, diligence, structuring, negotiations, execution, syndication and oversight. Jaime completed debt and equity transactions in steel, auto parts, ceramic products, paint, pulp and paper, tourism, processed meat, salt production and beverages. Transactions ranged from the financing the largest and most complex greenfield project in the Latin America at the time, as featured in Euromoney’s Feb 95 Project and Trade Finance magazine, to middle market across Northern Mexico.
In the real estate industry, Mr. Gritz has led eight successful multifamily, luxury condominium, hotel, commercial, institutional and infrastructure development projects including the turnaround and recovery of tax-exempt bond and bank financings from default
Mr. De La Garza previously spent seven years as an engineer and manager of large project engineering teams at Shlumberger in Norway, Mexico, Scotland and the United Kingdom in the 1980’s.
