Marty Burger was the CEO of Silverstein Properties, Inc. from 2014 to 2024, where he led one of the nation’s largest development company’s day-to-day development, acquisitions, financing and fund

management in the United States and abroad. Significant projects overseen by Mr. Burger include redevelopment of the World Trade Center (WTC) complex, specifically Two World Trade Center and

Three World Trade Center. Other major development projects include the 82-story Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, which was the tallest residential building in downtown Manhattan at the time of its completion.

Prior to Silverstein, Mr. Burger was President and CEO of Artisan Real Estate Ventures, a company he founded in 2006, following 15 years as President of Related Las Vegas and Executive Vice President of The Related Companies, L.P. - another one of the largest luxury residential mixed use and tower developers in the U.S. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Burger was a Vice President at The Blackstone Group working on acquisitions for its first three real estate opportunity funds. From 1993 to 1994, he worked for Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Real Estate funds. Prior to that, Mr. Burger spent five years at The Related Companies where he was a Vice President of Development and Acquisitions.

Mr. Burger is a Trustee and Governor of the Urban Land Institute, and has been on its Global Board, Executive Committee and Urban Development Mixed-Use Council (as Chairman). He has served on

the Exec. Committee of Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Advisory Board of Real Estate & Finance Center at Cornell, NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate,

Fisher Real Estate Center at UC Berkeley (Haas), Real Estate Roundtable in Washington DC, Directors’ Advisory Council and NYC Mortgage Committee of M&T Bank, Trustee of NYC’s Citizens Budget Commission, Board Member of the Partnership for New York City, Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Governor, and the Real Estate Life Science Advisory Board for New York.
