Stacy Rhone has served as CEO of Business Investment Growth Austin and AES Development for the last decade. “BIG Austin’s” programs now serve more than 3000 small and minority-owned

businesses per year. A fourth generation native Austinite, Stacy has brought her community, government and commercial insights together to effect opportunities for East Austin’s and Central Texas’ underserved populations.

Stacy Rhone has served as CEO of Business Investment Growth Austin and AES Development for the last decade. “BIG Austin’s” programs now serve more than 3000 small and minority-owned businesses per year. A fourth generation native Austinite, Stacy has brought her community, government and commercial insights together to effect opportunities for East Austin’s and Central Texas’ underserved populations.

Stacy has successfully co-led innovative public and private projects in Austin from redevelopment of East 11th Street to that of the former Robert Mueller Airport site. As a Board Member of the

Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, she led the Urban Mass Transit’s Livable Communities Grant program to ignite development along the East 11th street corridor. Ms. Rhone also served four years as the Business and Industry Representative on the City of Austin’s Advisory Board and Taskforce for the Redevelopment of the 700-acre former Airport site in East Austin.

Mrs. Rhone was the first African American female hired in the Texas Department of Transportation, Division of Design and Construction. She proceeded to run the Texas DOT’s Statewide Business Opportunity Development Center from 2010-2015. Nationally, she has served as Vice President of the National Women’s Political Caucus

Mrs. Rhone earned her Bachelors Degree in Economics from The University of North Texas and her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
